Psychological Scientific discipline Scholarship Endowment
The Psychological Science Scholarship Endowment supports upper division Psychology majors concentrating on psychology as an empirical scientific discipline. Selected student must have a minimum 3.5 Cal Poly GPA with preference to students who attended a partner loftier schoolhouse, are first generation and/or testify demonstrated financial need.
Use through the Common Scholarship Application and include: college courses and research internships that you accept taken to ready for a career as a scientist in the discipline of psychology, your career goals as they relate to psychology and psychological research, and unofficial college transcript.
2021-22 Student Travel/Professional Development Awards
The Psychology & Kid Development Department has canonical the use of express discretionary funds during the 2021-22 academic year for reimbursement of educatee expenses related to presenting at a briefing (in person or virtual). This honor is as well available to graduate students attending workshops or other professional evolution opportunities
Any Psychology or Child Development major, or Psychology graduate pupil, who spends personal funds towards such an activity may apply for a PSYCD Student Award. Students may utilize for one conference/workshop reimbursement per academic year. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through June 1, 2022.
Please follow these steps at least two weeks before the consequence (if possible).
- STEP i: Fill out the Educatee Award Application as soon every bit you know you will be requesting financial support to present at a conference or attention a workshop. You tin request the application form from Dr. Jipson (jjipson@calpoly.edu).
- STEP two: If award application is approved, student will exist emailed a TravelRequest Form. Students are asked to submit this class at least 10 days prior to the briefing.

CALIFORNIA: Research Coordinator Position Available— Claremont McKenna College, Claremont, CA
The Applied Listen and Health (AMH) Lab, directed by Dr. Stacey Doan at Claremont McKenna College in the Department of Psychological Science, seeks a full-time (with benefits) research coordinator/manager beginning the Summertime of 2022. Our research focuses on emotions, stress, relationships, and their implications for mental and physical health. Our piece of work is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Scientific discipline Foundation. The research coordinator will piece of work closely with the PI and lab grouping on a research program investigating how emotions and relationships bear on behavior, health, and physiological outcomes in children, adolescents, and immature adults.
Responsibilities include: overseeing day-to-24-hour interval lab operations, managing, hiring, coordinating, preparation, and working with undergraduate inquiry assistants, designing and implementing experiments, data direction and analysis, participant recruitment and scheduling, conducting literature reviews, maintaining IRB protocols, budgeting, website, etc., planning and leading lab meetings and social events.
Preferred qualifications: a Bachelor's or Master'south degree, extensive enquiry experience in a psychology lab, experience or a desire to learn psychophysiological and hormone data collection and analysis, detail-oriented, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and ability to piece of work independently, strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills, potent belittling skills (e.g., experience with SPSS, R.)

River Way Ranch Campsite: Several Summer Openings
River Mode Ranch Camp is a residential summer camp for children ages 7-xvi, located in the foothills of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park and just 35 minutes E of Fresno, CA. Summer PRESCHOOL Teacher (SLO UMCC)
The San Luis Obispo United Methodist Children'southward Heart (UMCC) is a NAEYC Accredited Preschool and has proudly been open for over 30 years.
